There are two things we all know to be true: kids have a lot of energy, and Virginia can get pretty hot throughout the summer. So, what are you supposed to do when it’s another scorcher and your kids are running up the wall? You find a place that caters to their chaos, of course! By finding a favorite indoor playground, you’ll have the perfect spot the next time your child needs to let loose and run around. Here are some of my favorite indoor playgrounds around Northern VA!
11001 Lee Hwy Suite D, 2nd Floor, Fairfax, Virginia 22030
Jolly Yolly Kids gives your child a brand new way to learn and explore. This colorful indoor playground gives your child over 1,200 square feet where they can run around. The center is serious about safety. They only use well-tested equipment and materials that meet the safety standard. Plus, they clean the facility every day and have strategically set up sanitizers around the zone. While the primary playground is ideal for kids ages 4-12, there is a tot area where younger kids can safely play with a fence as a buffer.
11750 Fair Oaks Mall, Fairfax, Virginia 22033
Luv 2 Play is a classic indoor playground that’s located inside the Fair Oaks Mall right next to the Dick’s Sporting Goods on the first floor. While you’re able to pay drop-in admission fees, they offer memberships so you can come in as much as you want. They also offer family fun packs that will give you play time for 3 children as well as a large cheese pizza, drinks, and a $5 game card for each child. The center has a separate toddler area as well as a baby area. Your child will be able to explore tunnels, race down slides, and navigate obstacle courses.
5412 Eisenhower Avenue, Alexandria, Virginia 22304
GoScramble offers two locations in Northern Virginia: Alexandria and Falls Church. At both locations, you’ll find an engaging indoor playground that will help you wear down your energetic child. The center offers graduated pricing, so you don’t have to pay for zones your child can’t even use. With your admission, you’ll pay for 2 hours’ worth of playtime. While this time limit might be utilized on busy days, most days, they’ll let your child keep going. There are separate toddler and infant areas, as well as an imagination station and sports court.
Trust me. As we roll into summer, you need a place to go the next time you want to get out of the house! With these indoor playgrounds in Northern VA, kids of all ages will have the ideal place to go when it’s just too hot to function!
