This museum is filled with historical tools that have helped farmers throughout the ages. Your child can see everything from agricultural tools to antique tractors. They can also check out hands-on exhibits, including the Children’s Farm, Grandma’s Kitchen, or Ms. Su’s Schoolhouse.
Colvin Run Mill Historic Site

Colvin Run Mill Historic Site offers endless opportunities no matter what you’re in the mood for. If you feel like spending some time outside in Northern Virginia, you can go for a hike through the lush woods or pack up a picnic to enjoy the site. Inside the mill, you will find a general store and regular demonstrations that show off the history of the building. The mill gets to work twice a month, performing the same jobs it originally performed in 1811. The area has new activities each month, which gives you a way to learn about the area’s industrial history.

NOVA Wild is a non-profit zoo that seeks to put the welfare of the animals above all else. Of course, you’re going to get to view some really adorable animals while you’re here. The park offers daily tickets and season passes, so you can stop by as much as you’d like.
