Just as it takes a village to raise a child, it can also take a village to bring one into the world. Sure, as a pregnant woman, you do the majority of the work, but you don’t have to do it alone! Resources like The Body, Birth and Baby Center in Leesburg, VA can help make the transition into motherhood more comfortable and empowering, all while creating a community of other pregnant and postpartum moms. Keep reading to learn about building your perinatal village!
The Body, Birth, and Baby Center brings together a team of professionals in preconception, pregnancy, postpartum, and parenthood. Founder Caroline O’Neill has been working with expectant families since 2012. She has successfully created a community of support for growing families.
She became a massage therapist in 2007, and after completing prenatal massage training, she fell in love with helping moms-to-be. After her own journey with fertility and pregnancy loss, she fell in love with Fertility Massage, working to help other struggling women holistically work their way toward becoming moms.
Eventually, Caroline became a mom to four beautiful children of her own. Along the way, she discovered the beauty of hypnobirthing. Having found it to be a transformative way to give birth, she became passionate about educating others and sharing her experience. After nearly a decade of facilitating private classes and teaching within the INVOA hospital system, she branched out on her own in 2021, creating The Body, Birth and Baby Center.
Today, the Center is a hub for other perinatal professionals with their independent businesses to come together and support expectant families. Moreover, come for the education and life lessons, and stay for the incredible community!
Caroline’s experience as a massage therapist and her expertise in perinatal care make her the perfect resource for a restorative massage. Whether you’ve just had a baby, are pregnant, or are trying to get pregnant, her massages help the body release unnecessary stress and tension while letting you relax.
Hypnobirthing is a program designed to help moms approaching childbirth remember the simplicity of this natural process, helping them to relax as they labor. With the knowledge of how your body and muscles are working throughout childbirth, you can let go of fear and tension, using your natural instincts for a birth experience without intense pain. This process isn’t just for women planning an unmedicated birth. You can also use the principles of hypnobirthing on whatever birth plan you have in mind!
While Caroline’s specialties are massage therapy and hypnobirthing, the Body, Birth and Baby Center is also home to a team of other perinatal specialists. Within the center are businesses like Loudon Homebirth and Healthcare, a team of Certified Nurse-Midwives. Susan Green Living offers Reiki, specialty prenatal and fertility yoga classes, and Baby and Me yoga.
Bee Nourished Lactation is run by a Board Certified Lactation Consultant who offers breastfeeding support and infant CPR courses. Virtual Physio offers in-person and remote pelvic health rehab services for women following childbirth. Whatever you need to help you in your transition to motherhood, The Body, Birth and Baby Center can help!
