Sometimes, the early years of parenthood can be pretty isolating. You tend to develop a solid routine that helps your family thrive, but once it’s established, it can be hard to break out of it. While sticking to the routine might be comfortable, it’s nice to bond with people who are going through similar life experiences. If you’ve been looking for ways to get out of the house, a baby music class is the perfect option! Not only does it let you and your baby build a community, but it also works on developing their cognitive skills, which will pave the way for years of learning. Here are my favorite baby music classes in Northern Virginia.
Workhouse Arts Center, 9518 Workhouse Way, Lorton, Virginia 22079
Music Together is a national program that has gained popularity in Northern Virginia for its fun and engaging baby classes. The Vivo center operates out of three locations, including the Nativity Lutheran Church in Alexandria, the Messiah United Methodist Church in West Springfield, and the Lorton Workhouse Arts Center. Music Together specializes in mixed-age classes that let kids ages 0-5 learn from each other. There’s also an introductory Mommy/Daddy and Me class to introduce babies to the program.
5631 Williamsburg Boulevard, Arlington, Virginia 22207
Little Steps Music is another Northern Virginia Music Together program that offers in-person baby music courses as well as online classes. The center allows you to try out an introduction class for free. If you decide you love it, then you can enroll and meet back every week. The classes last for 45 minutes each and take place over 10 weeks. Each season, they begin a new semester with a different theme for you and your baby to explore together.
25 First Street SE, Suite 4, Leesburg, Virginia 20175
The Little Tots Music Together program brings together Northern Virginia teachers with years of music class experience to make it accessible to your baby. The center gives you different options for classes. While you can do the mixed ages family style course for ages 0-5, they also offer a baby’s only course for children ages 0-8 months, a master class for kids ages 3-4, and rhythm kids for ages 4-8.
1016 N Garfield Street, Arlington, Virginia 22201
Tunes 4 Tots started out as a private, in-home music lesson company before deciding to create a program that could cater to multiple families at once. The teachers have studied education and music. They’ve figured out ways to create programs that are exciting for kids while still teaching them important lessons. They have indoor classes as well as outdoor options.
With a baby music class, you can encourage your baby’s cognitive development while getting the chance to break out of your ordinary routine. Check out these baby music classes in Northern Virginia today to find the perfect one for your family!
When I’m not here providing parenthood content, you can normally find me behind the lens, working with families to create authentic memories. As a mom myself, I know how hectic this season can feel, and I want to give you the chance to slow it down. If you’ve considered booking a photography session for your family, let’s connect so you can decide if my style matches yours. I hope to hear from you soon!
